This is a blog about us.
That sounds like it doesn’t cover all that much, but it truly does. You see, we are believers in a great many things; but above all, we believe in stories and a good meal. These things go hand in hand. They have woven our lives together and we want to share them with you.
And that is what this blog is going to be. It will be truth and fiction and history and science and the politics and art of food. It will be trials and tribulations, successes and failures. Our soufflés will fall (We haven’t given that a go yet, but when we do…they will likely fall, and we will document it.), our milk will curdle and our steaks will sometimes be tough. It’s not that we’re bad cooks; we’re just not Chefs.
And so that is who we are: ordinary cooks who enjoy very simple foods done properly. A roasted chicken soup. Scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast. Homemade bread. Wholesome vegetables.
And Milk in Glass Bottles.
